The aim for our 2021 campaign was to donate at least 2000 blankets and sanitary packs to those less foruntate. We unfortunately did not reach our target but were able to put packs together for a number of people and homes. We thank you for particpating in the winter warmer drive!. Let’s see if we can double the blankets and packs in 2022
The past three years have been very hard for many south african’s, many have lost loved ones, businesses, incomes, health has deteriorated and the emotional state and personal stresses that lock-down and restricted living conditions have brought about are big areas of concern that need to be addressed.
A blanket may seem like a simple gift – but think how much warmth and comfort your favourite blanket provides for you when you are cold or lonely.
Let’s share that cosy feeling with those less fortunate by taking part in the winter warmer challenge this JUNE.

It’s so much fun and easy to do as no sewing is needed to make a fleece blanket or two! Get your teams together if its corporate or private; Your bosses and colleagues to go up against the housewives/househusbands, their friends, their family members and their kids.
Purchase your blanket today! The 2022 campaign will run from 24th of May 2022 - 10th of June 2022. Blankets will be collected from your home or can be delivered back to the RAK offices by the 10th of June 2022. Blankets and packs will be delivered to the beneficiaries between the 13th and 17th of June 2022. Please get your orders in before the 24th of May 2022. Final collection date is 10th of June!

Once you have chosen to purchase your Precious box of hope you will have two options to choose from:
- - You have the option to have the RAK team distribute the packs on your behalf (you would then click on the “RAK to distribute” tab when ordering and paying for your package.) The RAK team will collect the package from the allocated collection point for distribution during Mandela Month.
- - If you want to get involved but do not want to make the blanket, the RAK team have a group of wonderful volunteers who will make the blankets on your behalf. (you would then click on the “Virtual volunteer” option)
About RAK Events
RAK Consulting and Events is a South African based start-up company founded in 2015 and dedicated to developing innovative, fun, and exciting initiatives for volunteers with a goal to change the perception of volunteerism in South Africa.
